We arrived in Delhi very early this morning, to get from the arrivals area to the hotel in the airport we had to go through4 security checks and have our luggage X-rayed. But the small but nice room with a shower was wonderful. We all got to bed by 4 am and slept until 10 now up for breakfast and the flight to Guwahati later this afternoon.

| Siberia fly over |
We flew over the north coast of BC and then on to Russia and over Siberia. Then landed in Shanghai for a short layover. Carmen, Jiasong and Ming got some serious sleep for a few hours on the airport seats (actually ver comfortable. We had rows of seat all to our selves so Ming and Jiasong (and even Frank Repanich) got to sleep on the plane. In Shanghai everything was very over priced and of not very good quality. Always love the signs in China. Coffee and Cakes proudly proclaimed in the name, you only hope they did it on purpose. I only wish China Eastern has let us look out the windows more. The dower stewardesses were always making us shut the window shades and chasing me away from the one small window near the serving area. Still it was a beautiful sight. When our flight out of Shanghai was delayed I checked and sure enough we were on a Sky Team affiliated flight! When I came last fall to this area with students from WWU ALL of our flights were either late or canceled. And yes fellow travelers, were were an hour late. Yes for consistency!
